Emerging Markets A Buy At Twice Normal Discount?

by admin on August 1, 2012

Deborah Medenica, fund manager of the Alger Emerging Markets Fund, discusses the outlook for emerging markets with Wall Street Week’s Al Berkeley. Ms. Medenica currently prefers growing countries in Southeast Asia and Latin America versus Central Europe. In this segment she also discusses the impact of recent power failures on India’s future growth.

In Part Two of the video (below) Ms. Medenica discusses one of her fund’s investments in India, and when investors might consider adding to positions there. She also elaborates on the traditionally lower multiples for emerging market firms and why that discount is currently twice its normal level.
